Chase was born out of the same day to day frustrations felt by many agency managers and employees alike. After several years of experiencing these very frustrations in his own agencies, Alan Borain (Business Director - Chase Software) started to build his own rudimentary system. Toward the end of the 90's, it became increasingly apparent to Alan that there was a desperate shortage of management systems in the advertising industry. All that was needed was someone with the technical skill to build it properly.
A chance meeting with Peter Joughin (Technical Director - Chase Software) in 1997 was the turning point. Peter, a University of Cape Town Masters in Engineering graduate and previous owner of a very successful software company, brought a vast amount of technical know-how to the party. This partnership then formed the perfect combination between hands on advertising agency experience and skilled software development, which resulted in the formation of Chase Software.
Bring all of the above together, along with years of intensive development, and the result is as originally intended: a slick, powerful and modern management tool for the advertising industry and allied markets.
